4 Things We Love About this Modern Upper Arlington Kitchen

UA Modern Kitchen

There’s a lot to consider when you’re thinking about remodeling a kitchen: the layout, cabinets, fixtures, countertops, storage space, appliance placement, and let’s not forget the color palette. If you’re toying around with the idea of redesigning your kitchen, you’ll need some inspiration to help you identify the flavor and feel of the space you want to achieve.

One of our favorite recently renovated kitchens is a project Reliance worked on in Upper Arlington, Ohio. To help you envision the elements you’d want in your very own modern kitchen, here are the four things we love about this Upper Arlington kitchen design.

Tiles, for the win!

mixed backsplash

The combination of tile sizes and colors work seamlessly in this space. The backsplash is composed of glass tiles in a muted hue, to balance the soft green color scheme of the kitchen. The backsplash draws the eye naturally without offending the senses.

The best of both worlds with two-tone cabinetry

In keeping with the scheme of the tile work, we mixed up the color scheme of the cabinets. Up top, white cabinetry allows for an open and spacious feel. At ground level, dark base cabinets provide a warm and homey feel to create a bold impression.

Minimalist-approved cabinet handles

These sleek and simple modern handles are the perfect touch for the personality of this kitchen. Giving a subtle nod to the appliance features, the cabinet fixtures provide just the right touch of modern craftsmanship to this design.

Light colored quartz countertops

Light countertops are a fantastic way to brighten up a kitchen, making your space look and feel much larger. In this design, a light colored quartz countertop is flawlessly matched with the light color tones and bold woodwork.
