A recent project in Upper Arlington, this kitchen remodel was designed to retain a rustic feel while incorporating contemporary features.
To achieve the vision for this room, we installed custom designed cabinetry, a seating nook, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an oversized island – and that was just the start. Here are the four features we love most about this Columbus kitchen remodel project.
With an oil rubbed bronze finish, delicate vine like extensions, and crystal accents, these rustic chandeliers draw your eyes as soon as you walk into this spacious open floor plan. Accenting the room quite nicely, the candelabra style bulbs on these pendants help to maintain the rustic contemporary feel the homeowner envisioned.
The homeowners behind this Upper Arlington kitchen remodel live to entertain. We built a self-sustaining mini bar, complete with a built-in mini fridge, undermount bar sink, and functional storage. Subtly built in above the bar, you’ll find a wine glass rack, bottle organizer, and under cabinet lighting.
Holding a drop-in gas cooktop topped with a free-standing island hood, this large kitchen island allows family and guests to gather round as dinner is being prepared. We especially love the dark woodwork and mahogany legs that support the extending granite countertop.
Arguably the most impressive trait of this open floor plan is the unbelievable amount of storage it provides. Beyond providing the usual base and wall cabinets, the storage cabinets in this kitchen have been customized to meet the homeowner’s needs. From standard roll out trays to spice organizers, waste basket pull outs, and a dog bowl drawers, these cabinets provide room for their every need. To top it all off, the homeowners added a storage bench with a hidden access door to store blankets, books, and more.
